A native of Rowayton, Connecticut, Carol received her B.F.A. in painting from Pratt Institute in 1983.

Her work has been purchased by the Portland Museum of Art,  included in exhibitions at the Corcoran Museum of Art and the National Museum of Women in the Arts; exhibited at OK Harris and Hollis Taggart galleries in New York, Vose in Boston, Gerald Peters and Owings in Santa Fe, and most recently at Artist Proof, a new contemporary gallery in Washington, D.C.

 In a “100 Years of Drawing” exhibition, one of Carol's drawings was shown between a Matisse and Picasso. Her paintings and drawings have also been exhibited next to the originals of Andrew Wyeth, Mary Cassatt, Neil Welliver, Christo, Alex Katz and Alfred Bierstadt.
